The examinee selects which of the statements best applies to him or her by circling the A or B item in each pair. The test itself consists of 125 pairs of statements. It was published by the Psychological Corporation of New York. This appears to be a manual for the test copyrighted in 1959, by then known as the Edwards Personality Preference Schedule. In 1953, he published the first version of his Personality Preference Schedule with The Psychological Corporation. Edwards was the author of several successful textbooks. After a short stay at the University of Maryland, he moved to the University of Washington, where he finished his career. He taught briefly at the University of Akron before working for the U.S. Allen Louis Edwards (1914-1994) received his undergraduate degree from Central YMCA College in 1937 and then did graduate work at Northwestern University, receiving his PhD.
